Sleepless in CT

Hi all, sorry for not posting in a while, I have been tired and busy and my right hand hurts I guess from work.

My mind is not the same living in US as it was in Egypt also I had more time to write and more peace of mind .

I miss writing and expressing and in USA I don't have the luxury of time.

I miss hearing from Dan and JCL does anyone know where they are?

What happened to Moon? Has everyone dissapeared?

For some strange reason some girlfriends from online have vanished also, in Egypt I heard from them very often and now that I am back I heard a bit in the begining and then nothing, I even wrote and called one of them and still NOTHING.

I don't get it. I guess I am only good for them while in Egypt.

Feeling left behind.

Eve

  1. sounds kinda negative & depressing…people feed off of positive, inspiring comments & time is no excuse…time is relative & how to spend it is your choice…it took me 30 seconds to write this & i don't even know you but I found the time to write…cheer up & friends will be there for you…i spend alot of time alone when i'm depressed so as not to bring my friends down with me…not that i think you are…take time & make time to reflect your feelings & your desires at your leisure…not to hurry, not to worry as they say in jamaica…perhaps you should move to costa rica where everyone lives on tico time meaning it'll get done whenever it gets done…the northeast can be very depressing, depending on the time of year…i spent the last 35 years in california & at present residing in northern arizona…sun can be a very powerful tool against mood swings & other things, etc., etc., etc…

  2. … as said by a writer significantly greater than me.

Poor Eve. What have you done since they don't want to talk to you? Or rather: Is it something that you have done or is it something that you are?

For my own part I know that there are people who feel uncomfortable with me because solely by existing and by being whom I am I remind them of something that they would rather forget. I do not fit into the reality that they prefer to believe in.

And I have a feeling that it may be the same with you: You do not fit into the little box that some people think that you ought to fit into. If you are at a safe distance they may forget this uncomfortable fact, but if you are close to them they are constantly reminded of it.

Is there any truth in my guesses?

    Walk in beauty.

  3. I haven't forgotten you in any way. Every day, I check to see if you have posted anything here.

As for emails, I am notoriously lax at responding to anybody's.

Your location makes no difference to me. I would write to you whether you are in Hong Kong, Sydney, Cairo or just up the street.

But, back to the email thing. Something interesting has occured. When you send those delightful pictures to me, within a day, I get EXACTLY the same pictures from another friend who lives in Idaho. I have wondered who the common friend is… the one you both know. I don't need to know, of course. It is just an interesting phenomenon that a person in Florida gets the same pictures in email from a person in Connecticut and from a person in Idaho.

It is a VERY small world!

    Hugs,
    K4

  4. Hi Eve

    You are anything but forgotten!

I am sorry for being quiet – I have been reading your posts but have not had a chance to reply. So I am taking advantage of this quiet time to construct a reply :))) As you know I do not write from work so therein lies half the problem πŸ˜‰

It has been such a long time since I have posted in my journal – I think it's because not much has been happening in my life recently. Or maybe I do not have any revelations to share.

But sometimes it is good to withdraw from human contact and get in touch with you are irrespective of interactions with others – and that is not to say that you do not care about people. Well, that's the way I see it (for myself at least).

I hope you are doing well.

    regards,
    JCL.

  5. She was in a land so far away,
and so many friends she found.
But now that she is back in the US,
Her friends are not making a sound.

Not a "Hello", "Goodbye" in passing
or "What a great post today."
Seems as if they are not
interested in what she has to say.

Do they want the interesting Eve
that was away in a foreign land?
She was writing so much every day
    about all that dirty sand.

    Now that Eve is back,
    clean air fills her breath.
Only when she can enjoy it,
    time has also left.

So, she came back to the land
of the "free and the brave,"
Only to find she is working
    like a freakin' slave!

    Eve, remember don't work those
    precious fingers to the bone.
    You'll need strength to
write us while you are at home!

    We miss your writing to!
    Sarah

  6. HI Opera,

thank you for your wonderful tips and I will take your advice, I really believe the change in weather and location are among the negs for me as well and the descrimation I face trying to get a better job. It's sad how some peoples minds are dead set without even seeing the person.

I am living proof that descrimation is still alive and thriving 😦

The sun does play a huge part and in Egypt it was out 99 percent of the time and weather was not a concern of mine.

I am trying to take it day by day and see where the path is I feel lost since there isn't any path right now.

Thank you again for your words of wisdom < which is what I need so very much >

  7. HI Troels,

I really believe it's the magic of EGYPT.. I have experienced this before when I came home however, not in this magnatude.

I am hoping this one girl is ok since I called her and no reply to phone calls or emails. It's not like her unless something horrible happened, <just my way of thinking I guess>

I am an open hearted person willing to help anyone at any time and when I land on US soil and backs again are turned it really breaks my heart. I can't force people to be honest.

I will consider it their loss as I do with most of the back turners in my life and there is a long list now since 5 yrs..

It's part of my struggles and yet my cure.

  8. HI K,

I don't know anyone in Idaho but maybe someone I know knows that person too πŸ™‚ The net is a small world after all.

I do auctions online have been for more than a year on and off and this one girl is another auction friend which I have met many and joined friendships with.

I am thinking now maybe since I opened my Ebay store she is upset??? I am not selling anything she is and we were both on Overstock auction site at the same time and we talked everyday in emails.

  9. HI JCL,

Wow you are among the living πŸ™‚ happy to see this !

I am alone all the time I long for human companionship and intelligent converstation. This is what I long for.

I am reading again yet another book, The Purpose of the Driven Life, I bought it on Ebay and a girlfriend of mine in Fla also bought it and we are suppose to do a study group but as the saying goes, she too has been preoccupied 😦

I hated living in Egypt for the same reasons, no one who speaks english well enough to have an intelligent conversation with and then I come back here and BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM the same.

I worked last year while here in a newspaper … awwwwwwwww surrounded by brains and also lots of laughter thanks to Moi πŸ™‚ I tried to get work there again however, they were full.

Patience is what I need now and I must wait and see.

JCL, you may not have features to post however, your wisdom is much needed.

    Missing yours,
    Eve

And love is not the easy thing…
The only baggage you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind

Home… hard to know what it is if you’ve never had one
Home… I can’t say where it is but I know I'm going home
    That's where the heart is

    (walk on U2)

  12. Helooo dear Eve πŸ™‚ Forgive me for my 'invisibility' of late, but after returning from Spain back on May 12 I have not been reading posts for a little while as I/we have been very preoccupied with putting our home on the market and searching for another one in the same area where we live, but I will assume you got my brief email recently, in reply to your own? Now, I have to get back to my 'moving home'calculations -so boring, but I have to do such stuff. I shall be rather glad when all of this is done. We are 'downsizing', so to say. I will return to my usual posting mode asap and finish off my Moontan 1 'saga-et' (thank you Moontan for accepting the story with such good grace and interest).

  14. Hello my sweet Lokutus,

I am sure you are busy and involved and now that I see you are having a problem with Opera it's even more of a head ache 😦

I see you have a huge following for your MOONTAN stories so I think you have to get back to writing or your following will be very very sad 😦

Save some time for US ok? πŸ™‚ I am sure all of US miss you very much.

    Welcome home.

    Eve
